This study was conducted with the aim of evaluating the performance indices in emergency departments of hospitals before and after the establishment of the emergency medicine group. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the performance indices in the emergency departments of hospitals were extracted before and after the establishment of emergency medicine groups from the archive of these hospitals. Results: This study showed that the presence of the emergency medicine group in the hospital had no effect on the performance indicators of the emergency department, but the establishment of the emergency medicine group in Khatam al-Anbia Hospital reduced the rate of unsuccessful CPR, the rate of hospitalization with personal satisfaction and the average triage time in Levels 3, 4 and 5 are triaged. According to the results of this study, the percentage of unsuccessful CPR did not differ during the year in the hospital, but its percentage decreased after the establishment of emergency medicine in the hospital.
